The Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School community has received the news of the departure of our principal Mr. David Staub with mixed emotion. We are certainly sad to no longer have him as our principal. However, the logic of his move to Delone is solid and it is certain that he will continue to be of benefit to our school community even if indirectly- but now as principal of Delone Catholic High School.
Since the announcement was made in April, the search for a new principal is quite different from the search we conducted in 2022. Our community has experienced three years of dynamism: increased enrollment, a boost in morale, greater financial stability, and greater levels of student success. Three amazing candidates have applied this year. Each of the three candidates is unique in her talents and charisms. We are grateful to all three for presenting themselves for service to the community in this unique way.
Saint Teresa of Calcutta School is pleased to announce Mrs. Lauren College as the new principal effective July 1, 2025. Mrs. College is not a stranger to our community. She currently lives in McSherrystown and has children enrolled in our school. She has served as Vice Principal of Saint John’s School Westminster for two years and has years of teaching experience prior to that. In her two years as Vice Principal, Saint John’s School has experienced much growth and vitality.
We praise God for providing everything we need to fulfill the mission of the Church here in our STC Community! May God continue to bless this community with growth and vitality.
Stay tuned on information regarding opportunities for our community to meet and greet Mrs. College!
